ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is now widely accepted as an effective solution for a wide variety of conditions and symptoms, as well as being used for general wellness.
ORIGINS
Having originated in China over 2,000 years ago, it involves the insertion of ultra-fine sterilised single-use needles into acupuncture points, carefully selected for a specific health problem.
WHAT IT'S USED FOR
Besides traditional Chinese acupuncture, acupuncture is also provided by GPs, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and midwives who often call it dry needling or medical acupuncture.
Dry needling or medical acupuncture is mainly used for musculoskeletal problems such as back pain, tennis elbow and injuries.

OUR SPECIALIST
Our very experienced acupuncturist, Robin Burby, has been extensively trained in both traditional Chinese acupuncture, dry needling and medical acupuncture.
“Having practised martial arts for a number of years, I already had a fascination with the Far East, but then I then learnt about the 2000 year plus, holistic nature of Chinese medicine and acupuncture; how each part of our health and physiology contributes and causes disease and dysfunction; and that Chinese medicine could not only treat it, but also prevent disease. Amazing!”
